Hello Ursula,

Thank you so much for your kind words about the class and your recommendation to others to invest in it! I'm thrilled that the lessons sparked new opportunities for you and others who enrolled.

I do offer seminars which are posted as often as possible on the www.GiftBasketClass.com site. Right now, the only upcoming event is in New Jersey.

I've offered seminars in Miami in past years and hope to return very soon. When I do return, the information will be posted on the GiftBasketClass.com site.

Wishing you abundant success!

Hello Valerie,

Congratulations on launching your business.

It's difficult for me to predict which day and time is better for your open house, as people's schedule are different in every part of the world.

You're in a better position to determine when to hold your event. Newspapers and other media tell you what's happening and when. Use their calendars as a guide. That will help you greatly.

Good luck.

Hello Shirley,
I have been in business officially now for about 6 weeks. which I do out of my home. I have sold a few of my baskets through my website, but mostly through the old fashioned way - one to one contact. These last couple of weeks have been slow. I've been giving more away then selling, just to get my name out.
I was recently thinking of having an Open House to introduce my business to folks in my neighborhood and I would also invite family, friends and some REALTOR's who I have been trying to market to. My question to you is, what weekend day would you suggest to be the better one and which time frame should I choose to insure good results?
As always, I thank you for your time and your wisdom in these matters.
Much Appreciation,
Valerie Lisi

Great information and suggestions, Kay, not just for the gift basket industry but also for individuals in every industry.

I believe in sending notecards, especially handwritten ones. They absolute stand out. The cards that choose, however, are also great.

Bravo Shirley! I use SEND OUT CARDS as part of my appreciation marketing plan.
Whatever product you sell, or service you provide, can be found online for cheaper in just ten seconds. So why would anyone ever do business with you? The answer is simple. Because they like you. Because they have a relationship with you. In today's fast-paced world we've become so automated that we've decided a text message is sufficient to say thank you. We communicate through cyberspace. We've become desensitized. It's time to put the human touch back into your life. THAT, is Appreciation Marketing! I mean really, when is the last time that you received a hand written letter? It seems in this day and age that people rely heavily upon instant forms of communication and that the art of writing a letter by hand has fallen to the wayside. But if you have received a handwritten letter recently odds are that you will remember it because of the personalization.
I send a card to my client immediately after delivery. If it is a local delivery I include a photo of the recipient with their basket. Believe me, IT WORKS!
I would love to share if you are interested?
Respectfully and always thankful
Kay Martin
